cozier with jacey: recalibrate e-book is here!!

a warm hug in your inbox full of life updates, new goals & what i'm loving this month

hiii homebuddies!!

the recalibrate workbook is officially here!!! 🎉

it feels so good to finally hold it in my hands eeep!!!!!

it's a 60-page guided experience that combines all the tools, prompts, and practices that have helped me rebuild trust with myself over the years (and the same ones i use with my 1:1 coaching clients)! we're talking getting clear on your values, helping you understand the patterns keeping you stuck, intro to IFS therapy and so much more, all packaged together in a digestible way. It also has some of my favorite tangible tools like the wellbeing wheel, core values map, parts mapping, and journal prompts- integration practices to help you stop just thinking and start moving forward without getting overwhelmed. You can purchase your digital download HERE 🥰

i had the most amazing group of beta testers give me feedback (thank you so much if you were one of them!!!) and i incorporated everything to make this final version something i'm genuinely so proud of. Coaching has been so fulfilling for me, and i feel so excited to get to share my favorite practices with you guys through this workbook.

$1 of every sale is going to Project HEAL - a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the national movement for affirming, accessible, and affordable mental healthcare for people with eating disorders

💭 what's been on my mind: navigating health anxiety

you might have seen me talk about this a little bit on socials but health anxiety has been very present for me lately. i had a few weeks where i felt totally consumed by recurring infections and sicknesses that made me feel like my body was failing me or that i was doing something wrong.

i feel very determined in lots of areas of my life, but for some reason it wasn't translating to my health. after many years of trying to figure it out on my own, i realized that i need more support from professionals who i really trust. i have one dr. i really love (if you’re in nyc - arlen at soho acupuncture is the absolute best and i trust her with my life!!), but i’m realizing that finding the right support team is really important so that i can offload some of the mental headspace this is taking up.

something that's been really helpful is creating what i call "evidence lists" to help counter unhelpful beliefs. a part of me was believing that my body doesn't know how to heal or isn't working properly, but there's sooo much evidence that it has healed before and continues to heal every day. i made a list called "self-healing body" where i keep track of all that evidence, which is so helpful to have on paper when i’m spiraling.

🎥 what i'm working on: youtube & creative boundaries

youtube is my main priority right now! you may have seen that i stopped the artist's way journey series, which i feel very proud of myself for. filming the videos each week was great to get me over the hump of posting on youtube consistently, but then i noticed it started to take away from my own personal artist's way experience.

i love sharing my life online with you guys, but i do think it's really important to keep some things just for myself, and i'm glad i made that decision. now it's freed up space to make other videos i feel really excited about — like crafting videos, mental health chats, and even that copenhagen travel vlog i mentioned!

❣️ what i'm loving lately…

📚 reading: I'M ALMOST DONE WITH THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVES!! after 1.5 years of reading this massive fantasy series (with a little break to read "Atmosphere" by Taylor Jenkins Reid), i'm finally approaching the end. i will miss these characters so much when i’m done!! it seems silly but i feel like it’s been such a huge part of my life and has given me a really grounding constant admist a lot of other changes.

🎵 listening: tara brach meditations + talks on spotify! i loved THIS ONE that talked about the “body as wilderness” - something that can feel scary and out of control. she also deals with chronic pain and her approach to mindfulness is one that really resonates with me and makes me feel less alone.

🎮 playing: tiny book shop has been my fave cozy game lately!! it's been a long time since i got obsessed with a game like this. i honestly had low expectations, but it's so satisfying to get to recommend books to customers and it's relaxing while keeping me stimulated and interested.

🎨 creating: a new mood board + digital collage! i've had the same one for a while, but fall is inspiring me to change it up and reflect this new season i'm in. a bunch of you have asked how i create my vision boards/digital collages so i’m going to film the process of creating it for youtube to show you!

some goals for october & beyond 🍂

i left my tech job last december to go full time as a content creator, and i spent the first half of this year really focused on creating as much as possible and getting into the rhythm of being self-employed. i am so proud of how much everything has grown in that time, and now i want to pour back into myself and prioritize my health a bit more.

that looks like: going back to somatic therapy after taking a few months off, finding professional support i trust to get to the root cause of some health stuff, prioritizing strength training, meditation and yoga (the evlo app has been my faveee! such a gentle, sustainable & science-backed approach to movement), and making sure to slow down and create space in the morning and evening for the routines that set me up for success.

i've really been feeling so connected to meditation and yoga lately! for those who don't know, i've actually been a yoga teacher since 2021 and it's a huge part of my life that i don't really show as much online. i got a bit disconnected from my practice earlier this year, but it's been feeling sooo good to get back into it & find a new studio i love. i love the open app [30 days free using code JACEY] and listening to tara brach meditations on spotify (free!).

some other goals i have are staying consistent with youtube — posting once a week, experimenting with some new content types, finding opportunities to volunteer, and getting back into teaching yoga since i took a break from it the last few months and have been hesitant to jump back in.

reply back and tell me some goals or things you're focusing on for the rest of this year! i love hearing what's on your mind.

💓 gentle reminder

whatever season you're in right now — remember that it's okay to take things one day at a time. it’s easy to feel stuck in the same cycles, but each time you approach a challenge (even if it’s similar to one you thought you already overcame) you meet it with new information that can help you show up differently. growth isn't always linear, and healing doesn’t happen overnight. you're exactly where you need to be and i’m so proud of you!!!!!!

thank you for being here, for supporting me, and for being the best community. you mean the world to me 🤍

stay cozy & be gentle on yourself!!!!

jacey 🤍
